Chimney Repairs and Rebuilds
Restore Structural and Functional Integrity
Due to its location on a home, masonry chimneys are exposed to harsh elements causing them to weather and degrade over time. A chimney should be rebuilt or repaired from the roofline up when it begins showing signs of deterioration from weather damage.
Chimney Damage
Chimneys degrade naturally over times as wind and water erodes the mortar joints and integrity of the bricks.
When a chimney begins to show signs of water damage (brick spall), in most cases, the inside of the chimney will be in even worse condition.
Poorly built chimneys and chimneys lacking an aqequate cap have an accelerated deterioration and short life span.
Rebuilt to Code and to Last
Chimneys are demolished brick by brick until solid, good condition masonry it reached. Typically, this point is reached around the roofline flashing.
Working with local suppliers, we source an ideal brick and mortar match to suit with the rest of your home.
Chimneys are then constructed meticulously to new local code regulations.
All roof flashing is fastened to the new chimney and sealed with premium caulking products to prevent water penetration.
Benefits of Decorative Crown and Metal Cap
Majority of the chimneys we build, are constructed with a decorative crown at the top.
This crown not only looks sharp on your home, it also acts as an umbrella protecting the brickwork below it from dripping water.
All of our metal chimney caps are custom fabricated to perfectly fit your chimney's crown and to match the colour of existing flashing.
Metal caps are resistant to rust, weathering and repel water. Based on our experience, they are far superior to traditional concrete caps.

Chimney Repointing
If repairs needed are caught early enough, a simple repointing of deteriorated mortar joints may restore the integrity of the chimney.
This is typically only possible with concrete bricks or with chimneys that have had no shifting brickwork or water damage to the bricks themselves.
A metal cap can be fabricated and installed over an existing concrete cap to make it water resistant and repel dripping water away from the brickwork below.
